The 10th International Barley Genetics Symposium

Pre-conference Tour

Barley Research Department, Agricultural Research Center, Egypt

Thursday 3 and Friday 4 April 2008

The tour will take you to the Agricultural Research Center in Giza to visit the Barley Department and the Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI), and to the Agricultural Museum in Cairo to visit the Ancient Egyptian Agriculture Department, the Egyptian Heritage Museum Department and the Wheat and Barley Historical Department.

On the second day the tour will take you to Sakha Research Station, where barley trials will be visited.

The cost of the tour is US$300 which includes hotel accommodation for Wednesday and Thursday night, entrance to the Museum, lunch on 3 and 4 April, and coach travel.

Participants should fly to Cairo and arrive at the latest by Wednesday 2 April. .

Minimum number of participants: 30

Registration by February 28, 2008.
