ICARDA Generation Genomic LIMS & GeMS

With the large amount of molecular data generated through the commissioned research of the Generation Challenge Program (GCP), it becomes imperative to provide tools to the researchers to store, organize and analyze the data and thus support decisions by stakeholders. Integrating molecular and phenotypic data is a step towards novel gene discovery for the development of new crop varieties with better adaptation to biotic and abiotic stresses and improved yield capacities.

- ICARDA Generation Molecular Laboratory Information Management System (IGMLIMS):

 

ICARDA Generation Molecular Laboratory Information Management System (IGMLIMS) will manage materials, storage information, reorder level, researchers and security levels related to classical genetic information and molecular characterization.

 


The first prototypes are deployed using Microsoft .NET technology for rapid development.
 

After the initial suggested corrections to the prototypes, the software will be available to interested parties as an open source software.
