Educational goal of Grade 6 IT Class:

 

Introducing the world of applications, and their great use in daily life tasks. Also clarifying the basic components of computers and explaining different types of software that run them.

 

Basic skills and knowledge which is expected from students upon the end of the year:

 

-          to introduce students to the basic skills of MS office software bundle

-          Give students an idea about hardware components (Input & Out put devices)

-          Give students the basic knowledge of software installation procedures.

-          Introducing the basics of Graphic designing

-          Discussing Ethical IT related concepts.

-          Providing students with essential skills (touch-typing)

-          Providing students with a basic introduction to spreadsheets

-          Introducing basic programming skills.

-          Introducing the skill of touch typing.

 

Marking scheme will depend on several elements 

-         The fulfillment and application of instructions of rubrics (which will be handed in prior to defined projects) where it will contain detailed explanation of required elements within the project.

 -         Written tests and quizzes that will measure the knowledge of basic skills.

 -         Class participation and teacher's observation of the continuous advanced in learning and applying specific tasks.

Educational goal of Grade( 8) IT Class: 

 

 

The ability of grade students to operate ICT (Information & Communication technology) skills and integrating them into daily life needs. Also providing students with basic Graphic and Web designing skills that could help in future School & Life related issues.

 

 

 

 

The basic learning tasks of Grade (8) IT class is as follows:

 

-         Introducing advanced skills of using spreadsheets & formulas.

-         Discussing and clarifying the Ethical and moral side of the use of Telecommunication.

-         Mastering the basic knowledge of Databases

-         Developing basic programming skills.

-         An Introduction to scripting languages.

-         Basic to intermediate knowledge of web designing.
