Communities of Practice

From the 2001 workshop in Cali, five communities of practice (CoPs) were created to accelerate the formation of an informal groups working on different aspects of INRM.  These CoPs are not restricted to persons from the CG centers, but encourage people from other institutions to participate.

These have involved the creation of a listserver, web pages and the definition of common goals.  The following are the CoPs, along with their respective lead person:

  1. Impact - Boru Douthwaite (b.douthwhite@cgiar.org)
  2. Advocacy - Anne-Marie Izac (a-m.izac@cgiar.org)
  3. Mainstreaming - John Poulsen (j.poulsen@cgiar.org)
  4. Learning (to work) together - Ann Braun (a.braun@cgiar.org), Nathalie Beaulieu (n.beaulieu@cgiar.org) and Steve Twomlow (s.twomlow@cgiar.org)
  5. Learning from cases - Frits Penning de Vries (f.penningdevries@cgiar.org)
