During lunchtime on September 4, 2007 European DesertNet (EDN), which is co-proposing Oasis for Challenge Programme status, will organize with Oasis a side event at the UNCCD Conference of Parties Session 8 in Madrid, Spain.

The event is tentatively entitled ‘Desertification: science, policy making and the chain of users. Is there a straightforward path from science to end-users? Where are the turning points and crossroads?

EDN’s Science Policy Working Group on the Science-Policy Interface will be liasing with Oasis on the development of this event.
