Dr William Erskine Elected Fellow of
National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India
Dr William Erskine, ADG (Research), has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), India. NAAS is a leading think-tank in India, and acts as a forum through which researchers contribute to agricultural policy development, planning, and implementation. The Academy has linkages with numerous research institutions and NGOs in Asia, Africa, Europe and elsewhere.

NAAS Fellows, who include some of the world’s leading agricultural scientists, are elected after a rigorous procedure of nomination and screening. Dr Erskine's election was based on his contributions to legume improvement, particularly lentil, in India in close collaboration with the leading scientists of the country. It also reflects an acknowledgment of ICARDA's global efforts in agricultural research and development in dry areas. Congratulations!
