CAC Partners Commend ICARDA, Honor Dr Malhotra
Dr R.S. Malhotra, ICARDA Senior Chickpea Breeder, was recently honoured by the Center's NARS partners in the CAC region. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to food legume research, the Shimkent University, Kazakhstan and the Gulistan State University of Uzbekistan conferred on him Honorary Doctorates. The Scientific Production Center of Farming and Plant Growing (SPCFPG), Almaty, presented him with a Letter of Gratitude for his active support in "broadening the genetic base, and development of breeding work on leguminous crops for the Kazakhstan Republic".

Dr Mahmoud Solh, Director General, in his congratulatory message to Dr Malhotra, said: "I take this opportunity to extend to you, on behalf of ICARDA staff and management, and on my own personal behalf, ICARDA's congratulations on the honors you have received in recognition of your valuable services to CAC countries."
