Dr Manzoor Qadir Wins Pakistan's Research Productivity Award
Dr Manzoor Qadir, water management specialist, has been honored by the Government of Pakistan for his work on management of marginal-quality water resources and salt-affected soils. He was nominated by the Pakistan Council of Science and Technology to receive the Research Productivity Award, which recognizes outstanding Pakistani scientists, and also includes a cash prize of Rs 120,000.

About ICARDA: Established in 1977, ICARDA (www.icarda.org) serves the entire developing world for the improvement of barley, lentil, and faba bean; and dry-area developing countries for the on-farm management of water, improvement of nutrition and productivity of small ruminants (sheep and goats), and rehabilitation and management of rangelands.
