National Legumes Traveling Workshop in Egypt
Around 40 scientists participated at a National Legumes Traveling Workshop was organized in Egypt, on 12-13 March.

Participants of the National Legumes Traveling Workshop (12-13 March) visited research stations as well as farmers' fields in Egypt's Delta region.

The workshop covered all faba bean breeding activities conducted at Sakha and Nubaria Research Stations. Participants observed the performance of promising new faba bean lines resistant to chocolate spot, rust, and Orobanche; and several promising lines adapted to early sowing in the Delta region, in addition to having resistance to important biotic stresses. They also visited seed multiplication fields as well as some farmers' fields at different locations in the Delta region. The workshop was supported by the Agricultural Research Council and ICARDA-NVRSRP.
