Summary of Experience & Expertise
As agronomist and crop physiologist, during the last thirty years, I have developed an experience in crop production, irrigation, cropping systems, drought resistance in cereals, modeling, and technology transfer as well as in research management and coordination at national and international levels. My research was oriented to cultural practices for water conservation and water use efficiency in arid and semi arid regions, and appropriate methods of technology transfer. I have established wide relations over the world (Morocco, North Africa, Europe, Australia, USA, and Middle East). I have held many responsibility positions since 1986:

-
Head of Agronomy Department, Head of Socioeconomic Department, Head of the Aridoculture Center in Settat
-
National Coordinator of IFAD/ICARDA/Maghreb Technology Transfer Project
-
National Coordinator of IDRC/ICARDA Agroecological Characterization (PAC) Project
-
National Coordinator of Mashreq/Maghreb Crop-Livestock Integration Project within INRA Morocco.
-
Regional Coordinator for North Africa ICARDA since 1999

I have coordinated more than 35 regional and sub regional research/development projects and developed partnership with many donors.

I am also an active member of many scientific and professional associations. I am acquainted with participatory methodologies for research projects elaboration and management (LogFrame method) and evaluation (Team Up method); with community development methodologies and adoption and impact monitoring and assessment. Finally, I have participated in teaching at universities in Morocco and I have been a member of international and national consultant teams at many occasions.
