Capacity Development

Alongside research, and integrated within it, capacity development (training) lies at the heart of ICARDA’s purpose. Capacity Development of ICARDA goes back to 1977. Since then ICARDA has provided training opportunities to more than 18,000 individuals from over 100 countries. The simple aim is to boost individual and institutional capabilities amongst agricultural specialists/researchers and National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) in the dry areas.
