Jake Carampatana
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Assistant

Jake Carampatana is a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) assistant at ICARDA. He is based in the Philippines. Jake supported the CGIAR Research Program on Grain Legumes and Dryland Cereals Program Management Unit and MEL Platform Teams in administrative and coordination processes, communication, user-based testing, and the MEL platform development team. Currently working on learning documentation, MEL plan development, and outcome modeling, he supports the OneCGIAR Accelerated Breeding Initiative in reporting and planning processes, among others. 

He has prior experience in collaborative hybrid rice development, including pedigree nursery handling, F1 and parent line seed production, quality management, field performance tests, communication, and general project management.  

Jake has undergraduate training in agronomy with a focus on crop production and farming systems management and a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science and Resource Management in the Tropics and Subtropics from the University of Bonn. He speaks English and Filipino.
