The Sixth International Date Palm Conference will be held on 19-21 March 2018 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The event will be organized by the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, in collaboration with UAE University and the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA).

Participants from the public and private sectors of multiple countries will consider the state of date palm cultivation in the world, harvesting and processing technologies, cultural practices, economics, marketing, nutrition, health, and other related issues.

Several round table discussions will be held during the conference, reflecting the event’s main theme: "Date Palm and Challenges of Future Outlook."

The winners of the 2017 and 2018 Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation will also present their research.

The international conference will gather date palm growers, executives of grower organizations, processors and agro-industrialists, traders, government officials, scientists, and nutrition specialists.

The previous five conferences were also held in UAE, in 1998, 2001, 2006, 2010, and 2014.

Additional information on the conference may be obtained from the organizing committee by email: [email protected].
